Forgetting the Past

Lighthouse Daily Devotional Wednesday, 10th September, 2025 Topic: Forgetting the Past Text: Philippians 3:13 "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before" Several of us didn't have any perfect past before meeting Christ. The truth is that no matter how good or bad our past life was before Christ, it is nothing to be compared to the surpassing glory we have now in Christ Jesus. "For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth" 2 Corinthians 3:10 It is important that we recognize and acknowledge that the past has passed. It is no longer in existence. God has moved you beyond that experience. He has brought into a whole new experience in Christ Jesus. You can't walk in the fullness of this new life if you don't let go of the old. There is no one who drives a car forward look...

The Everlasting Love of God

Topic: The Everlasting Love of God
Text: Jeremiah 31:3

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." – Jeremiah 31:3

God's love for you is not bound by time or circumstances. It existed before time began and remains steadfast regardless of your condition. He saw you in your unworthiness and weakness, yet He poured Himself out selflessly on the cross for you.

God loves you in both your weakest and strongest moments. His love does not diminish when you fail or struggle. Instead, it is present to lift you up and strengthen you.

At the same time, God does not love you more because you are strong. As you grow in strength, His love should remind you to remain humble and dependent on Him. It is His love that empowers you to grow.
One of the most beautiful aspects of God's love is that it draws you closer to Him. His love calls sinners to salvation, and it also draws the saved into deeper fellowship with Him.

Just like the heart cry of the beloved to her Bridegroom in Song of Solomon 1:4 –
"Draw me, we will run after thee..." –
As God's love draws you, be sure to run after Him. Do not delay or hold back.

Action Plan:

If you have not yet responded to the call of salvation, do so today. If you are already saved, ask God to keep your heart continually running after Him.

May God's grace be with you in all you do today.
