Forgetting the Past

Lighthouse Daily Devotional Wednesday, 10th September, 2025 Topic: Forgetting the Past Text: Philippians 3:13 "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before" Several of us didn't have any perfect past before meeting Christ. The truth is that no matter how good or bad our past life was before Christ, it is nothing to be compared to the surpassing glory we have now in Christ Jesus. "For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth" 2 Corinthians 3:10 It is important that we recognize and acknowledge that the past has passed. It is no longer in existence. God has moved you beyond that experience. He has brought into a whole new experience in Christ Jesus. You can't walk in the fullness of this new life if you don't let go of the old. There is no one who drives a car forward look...

Commit to Faithful Men

Topic: Commit to Faithful Men

Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:2

"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."

In today's world, many people claim to be working for God in one way or another. However, what is often lacking is faithfulness. Faithful men are rare, even though many are actively engaged in different tasks.

Faithfulness means being true to the assignment God has entrusted to you. It involves carrying out His work with righteousness, diligence, and sincerity.

God does not entrust heavenly resources to those who are unfaithful. In fact, unfaithfulness hinders a person's progress in God. It keeps a man stagnant because promotion comes as a result of faithfulness in the last assignment given by God.

Many of us admire men whom God has entrusted with great influence and authority, wishing we were like them. But the real question is: How faithful have you been with the assignment God has given you? Are you committed to leading that small group, serving your community, or impacting your state?

Jesus said in Luke 16:11:

"If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?"

If you are not faithful in handling money, people's property, or your official responsibilities, how can God trust you with true spiritual riches?

Are you faithful in the little tasks God has given you, or are you waiting for something bigger before proving yourself? Repent from any past unfaithfulness and choose to be faithful in the small things. When you do, God will promote you.

Action Plan:

Repent from any past unfaithfulness in what God has entrusted to you. Make a firm decision to be faithful from now on.

Prayer Point:

Lord, forgive me for my past unfaithfulness. Grant me the grace to remain faithful to You, even in the little things.

Have a blissful weekend!
