Forgetting the Past

Lighthouse Daily Devotional Wednesday, 10th September, 2025 Topic: Forgetting the Past Text: Philippians 3:13 "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before" Several of us didn't have any perfect past before meeting Christ. The truth is that no matter how good or bad our past life was before Christ, it is nothing to be compared to the surpassing glory we have now in Christ Jesus. "For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth" 2 Corinthians 3:10 It is important that we recognize and acknowledge that the past has passed. It is no longer in existence. God has moved you beyond that experience. He has brought into a whole new experience in Christ Jesus. You can't walk in the fullness of this new life if you don't let go of the old. There is no one who drives a car forward look...

Abundant Life

Topic: Abundant Life
Text: John 10:10

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

The word “life” in the above scripture comes from the Greek word Zoe. It refers to an endless, supernatural life—the God-kind of life. This is different from our biological life, which is subject to time and can eventually end.

Originally, man was designed by God to live this God-kind of life. Man was made in God's image, and at creation, God breathed His very life and essence into us.

Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

However, with the fall of man came the loss of this divine life. God warned Adam that if he sinned, he would surely die. After the fall, Adam did not die physically right away; instead, he first lost the life of God in his spirit. Eventually, physical death followed.

Without the divine life, man became purely sensual, interpreting reality only through his five senses. He lost fellowship with God and became increasingly inclined toward wickedness.

But when Christ came, He restored humanity to the God-class. It is only in Christ that everything Satan stole from mankind is fully recovered.

In Christ Jesus, the divine life of God is restored in us. We can now live like God, think like God, speak like God, and create like God.

Now, we have received everything the first man lost—only in greater measure and with so much more in Christ Jesus. Adam’s intelligence, wisdom, creativity, prosperity, and dominion have all been restored.

Superhumans are not just fictional characters in movies. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in us have elevated us to the God-class. The supernatural has become our natural habitat in Christ.

The right response is to change the way we see ourselves. We must begin to view ourselves from our new position in Christ. By renewing our minds with the Word of God, we will begin to operate fully in the God-class.

Action Plan: Begin to see yourself living and functioning in the God-class.

Confession: I live and walk in the supernatural in Christ Jesus. I declare that the life and power of God are at work in my spirit.
